The 12" Discovery Political
Globe
This
is the companion globe to the U.S. and
World Discovery Maps. It features bright contrasting colors for each
country. This is the perfect globe for students in beginning grades who are
transitioning on to more detailed political globes and maps. Globe is
available in three mounting options: Mounted in a metal swing meridian
and base as shown at right, on the "Clearview" cradle stand, which is simply
a resting place for the loose globe ball or the Horizon Ring stand. The
Horizon Ring stand will makes it easier to teach time and time zones, scale
and distance, relative size, and Earth/Sun relationships. See illustrations
below for examples of stand styles.
