Sitting atop this classic French vertical globe stand is a 1921 Weber Costello reproduction globe ball. This exquiste reproduction of a globe originally published by one of America's most famous early globemakers is made from indvidual paper map gores that have been hand applied with careful attention to detail. The paper gores are finished with a yellow varnish that give the globe the appearance of an orignal aged antique piece from the 1920's.
The globe's stand, adapted from a classic french design, is made of solid finished rosewood. Solid bronze accents are hand-buffed and aged to combine perfectly with the lustrious French rosewood base.
The compact size of this globe makes it a perfect desk piece or allows it to fit on your home or office bookshelf.
