"Age of Exploration" Globe Ornament

Once the cartographer of King Louis XIV, Didier Robert Vaugondy published this globe in 1745, during the "Age of Exploration".  From original color copperplates, this faithful reproduction is one of the loveliest we've seen.  The globe features delicate coloration, with elegant French fonts and cartouches.  Arrives gift-boxed, with brown hanging ribbon.
