The Hexagon Tabletop World Globe
| |||||||||||||||||||||
|
By Replogle. Frank Lloyd Wright’s overall concept for his buildings included not only the design for the structure and it's interiors, but the design of the furnishings as well. In 1954, he developed and submitted plans for a series of metal chairs, tables and other furniture for the H. C. Price Tower (now the Price Tower Arts Center) in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, that coordinated with the geometric shape of the building. Inspired by the hexagonal hassock design, this globe exemplifies the three Organic Elements used by Wright throughout his lifetime: the metal base is triangular, the hexagonal globe support is wood, and the globe is circular. Featuring a classic 12" antique ocean globe ball set in a truly unique walnut and cast iron base, this globe will make an excellent addition to your home or office. This package also qualifies the buyer
to participate in the factory-direct updatable globe program which
allows one to replace the globe with a new, updated globe when needed.
