12" Floor Globe
The elegant lines of the wrought iron floor stand reminisce of an organic form. Completed with circles top and bottom, the tall, slender stand solidly holds the globe at a convenient 37" height. The matte black finished wrought iron stand with decorative accents and gold highlights will enhance any room in the home.
The high quality calibrated brass meridian ring holds the globe securely at the correct 23.5 degrees of tilt, while also allowing the globe to be turned and rotated in any direction. A highly detailed, antique ocean globe ball with raised relief is used. Globe is colored with parchment colored oceans for an old world feel, but has a current political map showing around 4000 place names. An earth toned palette is used for a very appealing aesthetic overall, and the raised relief mountains add a whole new dimension to exploration of the globe.
This globe also qualifies for the updatable globe program, which entitles the original purchaser to purchase a replacement, updated globe ball when needed, directly from the Replogle globe factory in Illinois--at a significantly reduced price.
