Delicate dignity from Replogle Globes. The graceful pedestal style stand of the Cambridge globe proudly places the sphere at a convenient 38" height. The alder wood stand has been carved to perfection, and finished with a rich, medium walnut finish. The simple yet effective gyromatic assembly allows the globe to be rotated and turned in any direction, but keeps the globe at its correct 23.5 degrees of tilt when returned to the usual, North-up position.

The highly detailed, 16" diameter political world globe used has antique oceans for that old world look, but features a current political map. Adding to the old world feel are traditional cartouches, drawings of ships and a lovely compass rose printed on the globe. Globe boasts over 4000 place names & includes features such as raised relief mountains and nicely done shaded borders in a complimentary color palette. Made from 100% reclaimed paperfiber.

This globe is a tremendous value, considering the globe ball used on this is the same one that comes with globes costing nearly quadruple the price. This, combined with the fine woodworking of the stand make for an affordable yet high quality floor globe suitable for nearly any decor.
