12" Desk Globe

This very unique globe is handcrafted of solid
wood, steel, and iron. The merging of these materials results in a stunning
piece of art that would fit right in at many of the worlds most prestigious
galleries. Each globe stand is painstakingly hand produced and signed by the
original designer J.P. Roberts here in the United States. The combination of
form and function is evident with this globe as it features an adjustable
swivel mechanism that allows you to tilt the globe 180 degrees for easy
viewing of the southern hemisphere.
The sculpted stand, composed of solid red oak with a distressed cherry
finish and hand rubbed steel is complemented nicely with Replogle's Bronze
Metallic globe ball. This combination of rich hues of cherry, rubbed steel,
and bronze metallic inks give this globe a pleasant rustic look and feel.
The globe features accurately formed raised relief mountains, which enables
one to feel the mountain ranges of the world. Each globe is up to date with
the most current political data, features nearly 4,000 place name labels,
and is made from 100% reclaimed paperfiber.
