The
Wrightwood
12" Desk Globe
|
|
Handsome and traditional, the
Wrightwood desktop globe offers a decorative twist. From the Tom Torrens Collection created for Replogle Globes, the base combines two
finishes, medium cherry and black, to transcend the expected look of such an accessory. The shape of the base is reminiscent of ancient Aztec pyramids, but completed with a useful world globe at the top instead of a commemorative stele. The densely labeled 12" diameter political globe has parchment colored oceans complimented by a well chosen earth-toned palette. Antique ocean globe is a tribute to early mapmaking, complete with decorative cartouches and drawings of ships, yet retains up-to-date information about today's political world. Globe also features nicely formed raised relief mountains, which enables one to feel the mountain ranges of the world. Softly shaded political borders are another traditional & aesthetically pleasing touch to this already outstanding globe. Globe is held at the correct tilt of 23.5 degrees by the calibrated brass meridian ring. The globe stand and meridian are designed to enable free movement of the globe in any direction, and the special format of the cradle stand gives an unobstructed view of the extensively labeled globe ball. THIS GLOBE IS UPDATABLE!!! The world does
change from time to time. Diameter: 12" Classic Antique Ocean Colors |
