12" Illuminated Desk Globe

Feature-rich globe with a conventional look from Replogle Globes.  Suitable for any setting, the Livingston is traditionally styled with a hardwood base and calibrated die-cast semi-meridian. 

A highly detailed 12" diameter blue ocean globe shows both political and physical information by using a special two-way map. The internal lighting mechanism shows a colorful political map when lit (as shown in the picture below). When turned off, the globe hides the political coloring to reveal lush physical colorations highlighting natural vegetation cover, ecological zones, and topography. A particularly unique feature of this globe is the fact that it is not only illuminated, but also includes raised relief. Generally, illuminated globes do not have raised relief, but this one is one of very few exceptions.

Electrical cord, hidden in these pictures by the photographer, routes from the south pole axis point. Switch on cord turns light on or off, and facilitates alternate maps as described above.

Please note:  All Illuminated globes have an electrical cord to power the internal light bulb.  The cord is hidden in the photo, but comes out of the south pole axis point.
