Transfer painted tin orb. No
time dial. Oceans finished in gray-green with ocean currents, tropics of Cancer
and Capricorn and major ocean routes. Mount lacking, orb only. Surface lettered
in French. Philippines and Hawaii designated "E.U." or Etats-Unis.
Hawaii still called Sandwich Islands. In northern U.S. plains, only F. Randull
and Omaha are place names. Boldly lettered Texas and Mexique. West indies shows
only those islands of interest to the French,- Cuba, Haiti, Ile Anguille,
Martinique, Trinite. Shows Prussia (Prusse) instead of Germany. c1900. Some
surface mottling, attractively colored and worth custom mounting.
