ANTIQUE 18" GLOBE ON ART NOUVEAU SOLID BRASS FLOOR STAND

Coated paper gores over plaster, time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished in light pea green with Equinoctial Colure, Ecliptic, isothermal lines, ocean currents, Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn and analemma. Cast brass full ring meridian on art nouveau brazier-style floor stand with mahogany horizon ring above three conforming brackets and incurvate legs, flame motif, with round, clear marble casters. Same style ornamental floor stand as on I.D.#07337 but 18 inch size and in solid brass. Corrosian spots to upper hemisphere, horizon ring has been replaced with fine mahogany replacement. Still shows Petrograd in Russia, post-Versailles European borders. Exceedingly handsome ornamental globe intended for the mansion or top executive office. Overall 46 inches high. Weber Costello's best of all possible worlds.
