1930's GLOBE WITH ART  DECO BRONZE STAND

Hammond's 6 inch Terrestrial globe. Copyright - Patents Pending. C.S. Hammond & Co. New York/ Brooklyn /Boston. 1930.

Dull paper gores over pasteboard, time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished pea green with nautical distances, International Date Line, Elliptic Line and analemma scale with note. Mounted without meridian or ferules on an art deco greentoned bronze stand. Shows an independent Manchuria, Antarctica mostly unexplored. Same as I.D.#06388 but with surface varnish somewhat crackled. A scarce example of the stylish Hammond mounts used in the 1930's.
