Hollow steel orb covered with
dull paper gores. No time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished in light blue with
International Date Line, tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, nautical distances in
red, analemma scale with note on its use and purpose. Floor mounted in a cast
metal full ring meridian set in a walnut Duncan Phyfe style four-leg stand.
Manchuria and Ethiopia independent, Libya shown as Italian (1912) but
pre-fascist era. Very legible surfaces. Few small surface dents, some scrapes
and blemishes but an attractive and well made fine home library globe.
