UNUSUAL ART DECO CAST ALUMINUM BASE

New Peerless 8 inch globe. Terrestrial Globe. Weber Costello Co. Chicago Heights, IL. c1933. 

Dull finished gores over pasteboard, time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished in pale blue with ecliptic, equinoctial colure, nautical distances and analemma. Mounted without meridian atop a stepped pyramidical form art deco style cast aluminum base. Shows Manchutikuo, Chosen and Inner Mongolia. Declination once broken and now welded fast. Some light surface rubbing. Very detailed small globe on scarce base.
