globe. C.S. Hammond & Co. New York/Brooklyn/Boston. 1930.
Dull paper gores over
pasteboard, time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished pea green with nautical
distances, International Date Line, Elliptic Line and analemma scale with note.
Mounted without meridian or ferules on an art deco greentoned bronze stand.
Shows an independent Manchuria, Antarctica mostly unexplored. Attractive small
"end of the Twenties" desk globe. Hammond's stylish bases had no equal
in this era.
